2MAD Meal: Honey Glazed Shrimp and Broccoli

Hey ya'll! In my most recent What I Eat in a Day on 2MAD (2 meals a day) YouTube video, I made a "Honey Glazed Shrimp and Broccoli" recipe that I saw on Instagram. I altered the recipe just a bit to lower the sugar. The original recipe is here on his account, but below is my version of the recipe.

My Version of the Recipe (similar to the original, but with far less honey and sugar, no ginger, no pepper, reduced sodium soy sauce. Very yummy to me!)

  • 15 Shrimp

  • 1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon of Paprika

  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter

  • 2 Garlic Cloves -CHOPPED

  • 1 Teaspoon Corn Starch

  • 1/4 Cup of Honey

  • 2 Tablespoons of Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce

  • As much broccoli, chopped carrots, and rice as you like!

Cooking Instructions

  1. Sear shrimp in olive or grapeseed oil (a few minutes on both sides...but don't fully cook yet because you'll add the shrimp back to the pan later, and you don't want them to be overcooked!)

  2. Remove the shrimp from the pan

  3. To the same pan, add the butter, corn starch, honey, and soy sauce. Then, add the broccoli and carrots (halfway cook the veggies before adding to the pan)

  4. Re-add shrimp to the same pan, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. Serve over rice of your choice!

Below is the full YouTube video from when I made this. It was so good!
