Hey! I'm Jess, and like many...I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. After spending my entire childhood, all of my teenage years, AND all of my 20's overweight and unhappy - and after countless failed diet attempts, failed workout regimens, and trying a slew of "textbook" approaches to weight loss that never felt sustainable for me....I tapped into my inner child (who was always obsessed with choreography).
While I grew up pretty infatuated with the moves of Beyonce, Janet, Britney, and Ciara...I was always too uncomfortable with my body to embrace my love of dancing. Then...one day, I had an epiphany: I could let go of my insecurities and allow my favorite thing to create a pathway to a body I feel healthy and confident in. And now, I'm well on my way to a body I feel fully comfortable and confident in! I like to dance as my main form of exercise, though I have recently begun also adding strength training and occasionally do other forms of cardio. And most importantly: I'm working on healing my relationship with food.
